I am an unapologetic lover of Courtney Love, even though I can't really defend it. She has proven herself to be annoying, reckless with her health and finances, sycophantish, and such a bad mother, her only child doesn't want to have anything to do with her.
But I've been following her since 1992 when she became Kurt Cobain's girlfriend. We seemed to have so much in common after all--not only were we both fascinated by Kurt, she born the same year and month as me, had a long adolescence wherein she wore short babydoll dresses, and loved guitar driven grunge rock, starting one of the seminal bands of the era: Hole.
So now she has an exhibit of her art. I can'at help but think that Courtney--in her current tight place (what with giving up the rights to Kurt's image to her daughter for some financial reason that eludes me, the fact that she's in legal trouble for a lot of umpaid rent) through some work on paper to raise some cash.
You got to give it to her. She's always trying to work it.
