My brother his two oldest kids left us this morning after five days of allowing me to drag them around the city. We saw on Day 1: Olek at Krane, took in the living history tour at the Tenement Museum, got strawberry donuts at the Doughnut Plant, gawked at the performance artist Brian Zanisnik reading Philip Roth in a plexiglas cube (GO!), participated in a Passover seder.
Day 2: Easter baskets and egg hunt, church, Easter parade, FAO Schwartz, Eloise at the Plaza Hotel and the Museum of Modern Art.
Day 3: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Girl Store, Rockefeller Center, dinner at Wo Hop in Chinatown.
Day 4: Central Park row boats, remote control sail boats, Alice in Wonderland sculpture climbing, frolicking in Sheep Meadow, The Mikado in Carnegie Hall.
Day 5: Brother and kids went to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and St. Paul's Church, dinner at the Meatball Shop, Ferris wheel riding in Toys R Us (Times Square), Mary Poppins on Broadway.
Day 6: Rode the subway out to the airport early, early this morning for a spell with my brother and kids. Spotted this book- reading tights wearer on the way back in. Herringbone tights!--not too late in the season than these.
Now, please, I need a nap.
