saturday night

i had a full day, &

some really good pictures of the day

but not on my computer yet, so the run down

will have to wait.

this very moment

is perfect:

on the couch

with c.

listening to

yes

and laughing our heads off

about prog rock

(are we the only

ones who think

it's both funny

& good?)

& about to make popcorn

(i make the best

stove top popcorn)

& go watch

blank city

about julie's hood

when it was uber-rad

and full of starving

artists of the punk

variety. ((& home

to steve buscemi,

one of my ugly crushes--see #9))

micro-blogging for st. patrick's.

and, inspired by julie, the prayer

to st. dymphna:

Hear us, O God, Our Savior, as we honor St. Dymphna, patroness of those afflicted with mental and emotional illness. Help us to be inspired by her example and comforted by her merciful help. Amen.

  1. Did you know I've been harboring a secret crush on Steve Buscemi, too!?!?!

Have NOT seen Blank City, oddly. Tried to see if at the Guggenheim Lab, but had some kid conflicts. Is it kid friendly?

  2. Ooh, Nick Zedd's in it! He recently moved to Mexico City. He dated the woman he runs the afterschool program at S's school.

  4. Re: that prayer, I'm not sure if I like it, because what WAS Dymphna's example, really? She runs and hides, and still dies at the hands of her father. I'm sick of martyrdom. What should the end of her story been?
